Garjate angaare liye
Main cheer ke duniya chahti hoon
Toofano se tez dorti, dharkano ko sunanna chahti hoon
Inn bandh kamro mein saanse, barbadi ki raah hi chalti hai
Waqt paani ki tarah behta, zindagi yoon hi guzar rahi hai
Kitna hisaab, kitna paisa,
Kitna bhau iss mehnat ka?
Ped ki daali se ab kya banta hai
Phool, kaliyoh ka kon sa ghehna?
Badi company ki badi afsar bhi bano
Shaadi karke, shusheel bhi raho
Duniya toh paiso par naachti hai
Usko kamao, duniya kamao
Par main iss ubharte hue junoon ka kya karu?
Deemak ki tarah mujhe khata hua jo
Bijli ke angaare bahar phek raha hai
Inhi par main chalti rehti,
ab main udhna bhi chahti hoon.

I was tired of trying to fit in.. of finding more new friends. Tired of exploring. Have given up to an extent.
You bring me back to my real self. To the pure me without any griefs and regrets.
I’m tired of the journeys, I had made to unknown streets..
You brought me back home, on my own two feet.
Gave me love and care and that innocent stare. Reminded me that the world is not that unfair. We just gotta be happy with our own share.
I feel a sense of security with you. You give me strength to live it through.
I wonder what i would do without you.
Just don’t let that day ever come true.

One of the best makes of Indian cinema, Paan Singh Tomar is one of those few films that leaves a profound impact on you. Based on a true story, it transports you to another world all together. A reality which very few of us are aware of. Utterly astonishing script with its own set of ‘playful sense of humor’ filled dialogues. The film with its sub titles in english insures you don’t miss out on the typical ‘chambal dialect’. Irrfan Khan has put up an exquisite performance. He never lets our eyes wander off from his character and cause. You are sure to be moved by the journey which crumbles the international sports man into a rebel.
The movie is not a romantic but an honest and a powerful creation. The director Tigmanshu Dhulia has done a very good job in reflecting the story very simply, yet leaving us lost in our thoughts much after its over.
Paan Singh Tomar, already premiered at the British film institute London film festival, deserves much more attention than its getting at the moment, owing to its weak open marketing.
For all those unfortunate people who have yet to watch it, you are missing out on an amazing make. Its surely a must watch! and trust me no false promises here. Paan Singh Tomar is unmissable, specially when you are on a look out for some sensible movie.
Do watch it and if you feel anything different about it, feel free to discuss it here! 🙂

Stand, facing a piece of art work and if it fails to hold your attention, it fails its purpose.
You can only understand the value of a painting, if you actually make an effort to because its all in the mind. Its the way you perceive it. If you stand facing an abstract painting with a nonchalant mind, you’ll never get the intention behind its creation. When an emotion is born out of your thughtful analysis of the whole image, a connection is build up.
I recently visited my first Art festival and I swear, you can take my word for it, that you just cannot spend mere hours in one. It can literally take days for you to relish each art work from your eyes. The whole experience is exalting. Its a completely different one altogether. It calms you up, transporting you to another world. An artist’s world. And at this moment, a peek into its journey begins!
